Dog’s eyesight are excellent, but practically they live in “slow motion”. How? Lets dive-in.
If I switch the bulb on and off very fast, then a time will come when I switch it off and on more than 30 times in a second, then you will feel that the bulb is still on. That is, the concept of the bulb turning on and off will disappear for you.
We know that if pictures are shown in a rapid sequence, we perceive those pictures as a “video”. Movies are made in this way. Videos shot on a mobile or camera are actually just a series of pictures. Our eyes also work in the same way and by continuously processing the pictures of the outside world, we get the illusion of seeing this world in “video mode”.
Here it is important how many pictures are being processed in a second. The more frames in a second, the more the creature lives in slow motion and is agile. We humans can process 30 to 60 frames in a second, while flies can see up to 300 frames in a second, that is, their time is running about 5-6 times slower than ours. So no matter how much you try, you will never be able to know when they leave their place just before hitting the newspaper.
Dogs have a frame processing rate of about 80-100. Their time is about 30% slower than ours. So they are more agile than we think. If you want to know how your puppy sees the world, then make a video of it and go to any video editing app and play that video at a speed of 0.7, this is how dogs see the world.
